PROCEDURE DETAILS
After being diagnosed with right breast cancer, this patient underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies by her breast surgeon and immediate insertion of tissue expanders as the first stage of reconstruction. After expansion was completed the expanders were replaced with permanent silicone implants. (She also had an umbilical hernia repair done during second surgery.)
